Adding CESS % to GST rates in ERPNext

Hello. We are new to ERPNext and are trying to setup GST to work at item / item-group level in version 16.

I have been able to get all the basic GST rates to work, but unable to see any default configuration to apply the CESS %. Our business in in trading of various FMCG products, some of which (e.g. cold drinks) require 28% GST + 12% CESS.

On searching this forum we found a couple of posts relevant to this topic, but the solution mentioned in that did not work for us.

Can anyone provide insights how to add the CESS % to GST rates?

You have to specify Cess accounts in GST Settings and configure Taxes and Charges Template and Item Tax Template with the cess account.

I have been able to configure it now. I was missing the CESS account configuration in the GST settings. Appreciate your support with this!
