After bench update --reset, customization in fields not showing

i have added a new field in address doctype and a new option in one of its field(address)-------(update-done, export-done)
Everytime i run bench update --reset command i loose all my changes, not able to see it on the screen.
though the changes are visible in its json file.
look into this problem and kindly help me out.

Every time you do --reset with bench update you are actually hard resetting your local code repo of frappe and erpnext and pulling new updates from remote upstream.
