It will work manually also. No need for biometric integration. Check the value in last_sync_of_checkin field. That might be the culprit. Refer the below link.

"Mark Auto Attendance" issue

Last sync of checkin field should have the ending date till which you want to mark attendance. e.g If you want to mark from 1Dec -11Dec, then set the last sync of checkin value to 11 dec.
