Upgrade to Python 3.7 as described in this link and please see if that solves anything for you guys?

Any proper working manual for upgrade python2 to python 3.8?

I used this article to update to Python 3.7 on Debian 9: How To Install Python 3.7 on Ubuntu, Debian & LinuxMint - TecAdmin Followed by: 1. bench migrate-env python3.7 Hope this helps.
