[Bug][UX Issues] Broken Permissions in Frappe Cloud 23/12/25

Latest change pushed to Frappe Cloud regarding permissions has broken functionality

1. No option of assigning admin role to users.
   I had a previous role which had admin access (it has billing access). Now I have created a new role [ST Developers](pic 1) I am unable to give it admin role. Because of this, my developers are not able to create new benches. (pic 2)

   

   Now my developers are unable to create benches.

   
   

2. No “select all” option. Lets say I have over more than 50 sites and benches, and now I have to select 50 times to give the users permissions to all sites and benches? What stupidity is this.

   

3. No option of segregation of sites and benches:
   The permission to grant access to sites and benches should be segregated, so that once we assign a particular bench, all sites under it should be available.

4. Documentation is not updated:
   The system points you to docs, but when you visit docs it is the old one. You run in circles.

   
   

There are many other issues, I am too frustrated and tired to type them out. Please rollback the changes until you have fixed them. And thoroughly tested them. Then release the changes for a pilot batch of users. Take feedback from them. And update the documentation. Then notify users of the upcoming change atleast 30 days before. Then finally roll out to all the users.

Understood. We are working on improving the user experience. Please be patient while we do it.

We are also facing the same issue, and it needs to be addressed and resolved on a high priority, as it is creating a dependency on the team leads.

The user experience was expected to improve over time, but unfortunately, it has been the opposite. Frappe lacks proper documentation for many of its apps.

We request you to please improve the UX or revert it to how it was previously.

Regarding the admin feature

1. Previously you were not able to create able to create more than one admin role. It is possible now.
2. Admin switch is added to the role permissions page.

Also, you were not able to create roles and add resources and members into it from a single dialog. It is possible now. There are a few issues, I agree. But please be assured that we will fix it as soon as possible.
