Calender with fixed slots for rooms

I am hoping to use the builtin features of erpnext for booking six rooms. Using the following features like calendar and events, client scripts and/or server scripts.

For example, we create a calendar in erpnext, then with client scripts, there will be two hour slots in the calendar. These slots does NOT have a corresponding event. They are just javascript two hour blocks. When the two hour block is clicked,it goes to creating a new event with the date,time and room details filled in the create event page.

Once the event is created, the block changes colour. When the block with event is clicked, it will go to the event form for editing if needed.

Please share your thoughts.
