I do not have edit access on the task, but I can still see the sidebar on the task doctype with “+’ icon on the attachment. I clicked and the pop-up opened but then when I attach the file, it gives an error. When I gave myself the edit access on the task, at that very moment I was able to attach the file. I think this is incorrect, if I am able to see the +, I feel I should be able to attach. Also, because I do have create access on file, I can create a file and can link this task since I have read access. Both of these things seem logical to me.
Also, if I do not have share access, then why do I see “+” on share in the sidebar?
Am I missing something?
