ERPNext integration with Frappe CRM

We just started testing ERP Next coming from Odoo Enterprise. It looks really interesting and I like it until now. For our use case, we need a CRM that is deeply integrated with the ERP, meaning that we can use the same contacts / companies, access the items (Products) when making quotations, etc. Therefore, the CRM app inside ERP Next seems the way to go. However, reading this topic I get the impression that this CRM module will be somehow abandoned. In this case, I am now unsure if moving to ERP Next makes sense for us. I want to get clarity on this topic before committing to use ERP Next + Frappe Cloud. Can someone point me to the right source of information on this?
Thank you.

@emoldovan its ok to continue using the existing built-in CRM solution, there will be a migration provided for this use case, once completely there

Hi everyone,
I’m using Frappe Cloud and just tried out ERPNext v16 Beta along with Frappe CRM. I noticed that the sync between Frappe CRM and ERPNext doesn’t seem to include Tasks — which is a pity since I really like the subject and details layout in Frappe CRM. A unified task management would be great!

Also, a quick question: I’d like to create a Project from a Frappe CRM Deal (before Quotation) and have the data transferred automatically. Does anyone know if that’s possible?

Thanks in advance & greetings from Germany

cant integrate frappe crm with erp Error while creating custom field in ERPNext, check error log for more details what im missing?

Same here, signed up yesterday for the trial, currently using Odoo, which ā€œjust worksā€. I’m a little disappointed to find such a disjointed CRM/ERP solution. I was hoping for some deep integration between the two, but I’m struggling somewhat. I can access the ERPnext CRM if I search for it in the desktop, but I can’t directly navigate to it (there’s not even an icon), maybe it’s being sunset like you suggest? Then I somehow managed to install the FrappeCRM product on my cloud instance, so now I have a pink icon on my desktop, but I’m not sure how integrated this is, I gather this is a standalone product so not sure how or if it integrated with ERPnext?

Did you get any clarity? I don’t want to continue with this if there is no integrated CRM, it doesn’t make sense for us. I only started looking at ERPnext as it seemed like it might work out cheaper, we are not fully committed to Odoo yet but may carry on with that.

Hi Paul,

We haven’t start to use ERPNext yet because we downscaled our business and for the time being we do not need an ERP. Anyway, after using Odoo for 5 years I don’t recommend anybody with a small/medium business to o use it, as it gets quite expensive. If you have a business with consistent revenue it might make sense, though.

Does anybody know if a task integration between CRM and ERPNext is planned? Seems odd to have the same Object in two Apps without an integration.

Hi @paulroberts , currently, Frappe CRM follows Lead > Deal cycle. In the deal stage, if you want to send a quote to the client, you can do so by sending the quotation through ERPNext. This is integrated. You can read more about it here: Integrations - Frappe CRM

To know the actual difference between the two, please check: ERPNext vs Frappe CRM: What's the Difference? | Frappe Blog

This year we’ll be working on having common doctypes across these apps.. so yes, it should be integrated. Even the products master in Frappe CRM should be the same as the items master in ERPNext. We’ll be working on it.
