even though company and customer have currency INR , I’m getting this error. the Global default currency is AED. Can’t identify the cause
Remove global default currency.
System will automatically fetch company currency and your problem will solve.

Check that you are using the correct company if you have multiple companies. ie, if you have company A and B. If your current session is of company A, then ensure that the sales order is for company A and not B.
