Is lib/wnf.py still exists? about translation issue

Hello,

I'm from china mainland, were trying to update zh-cn.csv, however, when i finished translation and replaced the one in translation folder, error happens afterwards:
Valueerror: blabla,,, #843...,

I was reading in forum, someone mentioned that it means column 843 has issue, however, i searched, there is no 843 column, then i tried row 843, no lucky...

Further, i think is that i need to use tool to import...? then i don't find /lib/wnf.py...

Anyone could help? thanks in advance. BTW, it is a good software in many ways.

Good work.

yang

Hi Yang,

Assuming that you are on version 4, if you update and replace the CSV file, the system should take the translations from the csv file.

Can you paste the error from the javascript console? Most likely the csv file is not saved as UTF-8 encoded file.

Thanks,
Anand.

Hi Anand,

Thanks for your reply.

I've fixed the issue, post it here for sharing(not utf8 issue, we double checked that).
Finally, we found that it is due to ','  in some translations, we added ',', however if it is the case, it need to be included in " ".

Now the translations are shown, very good. A quick clarification for my way of import translation:
I just update the zh-cn.csv directly, then i "rm /var/lib/redis/dump.rdb", then "service nginx restart".

haha, i'm sure i did in a wrong way, it just works..., by the way, how to import, seems ./lib/wnf.pf is gone in v4?

Best Regards,
Yang

Hi Rushabh,

Note. We will do that, considering your side have new translations added days ago, we will merge that and do a final version then commit.

By the way, "I just update the zh-cn.csv directly, then i "rm /var/lib/redis/dump.rdb", then "service nginx restart". is this way correct?

I've read lots of your blogs and our side are good at performance and architecture(which we are doing now is do that kind of work against global customer).

If anything need us to do contribution, let us know freely.

Thanks,
Yang

Yang,

You should use supervisorctl to restart nginx and redis.

Run: supervisorctl restart frappe:

You might need to use sudo.

Hi Rushabh,

Note. We will do that, considering your side have new translations added days ago, we will merge that and do a final version then commit.

Thanks that would be awesome.

Please feel free to send pull-requests. We are always looking for community contributions.

Thanks,
Yang

Best Regards,
Yang

Hi Yang,

Assuming that you are on version 4, if you update and replace the CSV file, the system should take the translations from the csv file.

Can you paste the error from the javascript console? Most likely the csv file is not saved as UTF-8 encoded file.

Thanks,
Anand.
