How are Workstations renamed?

I’m using ERPNext v16.

Normally you can rename something with the pencil button on the right sidebar. Workstations don’t seem to have a right sidebar however:

List View → Tick on item → Actions → Edit → Workstation Name

It did NOT work for me… what about you?

List View → Tick on Item → Actions → Edit → Workstation Name
This Edit option is only for editing editable field values.
The ID/Name is a standard field, so it cannot be changed using the Edit option.
You can change it only using the Rename option/tool. its ok

Okay so not complaining but in the interest of improving things (after all one of Frappe’s values is Excellence - Frappe's Values ): -

  1. Why is the field in the edit list if its not editable
  2. The rename tool is a good tool for mass renames but there has to be a better and simpler way of doing it for 1 record

Yes, I understand your point.

In Version 15, the single record Rename option was available.
But in Version 16, that direct rename option is not available now.

Also, showing the field in the editable list may be a bug. I will raise an issue in GitHub for this.
