How to sell items to customers as free samples

I need to provide items to customers as free samples. How do I record this in ERPNext so that it shows as zero cost?

Hello, have you tried using the Item Price & Price List feature? You can create a price list (eg. Zero Selling) for this then create individual Item Price records for with the rate set to 0 under this price list.

i tried to give 100% discount on item. is that correct way ?
