Introducing Nesscale Sign - A Digital Signature Solution for Frappe

Hello Everyone,

Over the years, while implementing ERPNext for various businesses, we have observed that document signing workflows are often handled outside the ERP system.

Typically, documents are generated in ERPNext, exported as PDFs, shared through email or messaging platforms, signed using external services, and then uploaded back into the ERP.

To simplify this process, we have started building Nesscale Sign, a digital signature application built on the Frappe Framework.

The objective is to enable organizations to manage the complete document signing process directly from their Frappe or ERPNext instance.

Planned Features

  • Upload and manage PDF templates

  • Configure signature, date, text, and checkbox fields dynamically

  • Automatically populate document fields from ERPNext records

  • Send documents for signatures directly from ERP workflows

  • Multi-user and multi-role signing support

  • Real-time document status tracking

  • Complete audit trail

  • Secure storage of signed documents

  • Reusable document templates

  • API support for integrations

The project is currently under active development, and the first version is already taking shape.

Great work, however shouldn’t this integrate with the print formats of each doctype

You can download the PDF for your print format and then set your rules; it will work.
