Is Frappe Suite (Drive/Mail/Writer/Sheets/Meet/Calendar merge) ready for production use?

Hi everyone ,

We’re evaluating Frappe Suite for our organization’s Frappe Cloud setup, since we
currently need email (Mail module) integration alongside our existing ERPNext site.

From the repo README, it looks like:

  • The migration is still in Phase 6 (cutover verification), with Phase 7
(CI/docs consolidation, release) not started yet.
  • No official release has been published so far.
  • Licensing is marked as “to be finalized as part of the consolidation.”
  • frappe/mail (the standalone predecessor) has already been archived.

Given this, a few questions for the community/maintainers:

  1. Is Frappe Suite considered safe for production deployment at this stage, or
should we wait for a stable/tagged release?
  2. Does the Mail module within Suite still require a separately-hosted Stalwart
mail server (SSH/Docker/Ansible), or has that changed in the merged app?
  3. Is Frappe Suite expected to be installable/supported on Frappe Cloud
(shared or Private Bench), given Mail’s original architecture wasn’t?
  4. Any rough timeline for Phase 7 / first official release?

Would appreciate any insight from the team or anyone who has already tried
running this in a live environment. Thanks!

Hi @somil

I think it’s still not ready for production.

Suite is under testing right now. We have fully migrated to Suite inside Frappe, there are a lot of bugs, UI / UX issues and is under heavy development. Not ready for production use!

Hi all,

Checking in to see if there have been any recent updates regarding production stability for Frappe Suite. Has anyone deployed it to production yet, or is it still recommended only for testing?

Hey, still not production ready, though it’s getting pretty close.

We’re using all the apps internally inside Frappe and that’s helping the product.
