I’m just starting to learn the Frappe Framework. https://frappe.io/docs/user/en/tutorial/setting-up-the-site says we need to enable Baracuda Storage engine.
Note: Before you create any new site, you need to activate the Barracuda storage engine on your MariaDB installation. Copy the following default ERPNext database settings into your my.cnf file.
But Mariadb docs say that this is the default storage engine from v10.2 onwards
Before MariaDB 10.2, by default it was set to Antelope. … From MariaDB 10.2, the default is Barracuda, and the ability to use Antelope was deprecated.
Should we still do so, or do the docs need an update (we can simply specify the version of Frappe or MariaDB this applies to, I’m not sure about Frappe requirement versions)?
I think it’ll also be useful to briefly state why this is necessary and give possible locations of
my.cnf I’ll gladly update the docs with some advice on some of the blind-spots I’ve pointed out above.
