I used the rename tool to rename few items (which are variants). Everything went snooth until I tried to create a sales order for those items. System is still.looking for the old item name while submitting the sales order and throws an error that the item is not found. Am I doing some thing wrong or is it a bug?
Rename tools usually works fine. If you can replicate it, its probably a bug.
I can replicate. Can I open an issue in github?

Rename only changes the ID of the item, not the value of “Item Name”
