Hi all - heading to Frappeverse tomorrow, landing in Mumbai @ 7:40 AM.
I’m an introvert, so large-crowd networking isn’t really my thing. I’d rather find a few like-minded people beforehand and actually go deep at the conference instead of doing the rounds.
Some things I keep thinking about, and would love to discuss with fellow ERPNext folks:
-
Pricing after AI - we’re still billing by the hour, and that model feels like it’s on borrowed time. Anyone actively rethinking this?
-
Selling “free” software to Indian clients — open source is free, but explaining why implementation and development still cost money is a real uphill battle.
-
SMEs + AI — the opportunity I can’t stop thinking about. I have a genuine soft spot for small Indian businesses — you can see them just trying to keep their heads above water, with zero visibility into what AI could do for them. I want to bring them ERP + AI so they can finally make faster, better decisions. I have a gut feeling that in 5-6 years, businesses without an ERP will simply be too slow to survive. This isn’t just business for me — I want to genuinely help while building something sustainable.
-
Trial strategy that actually converts — instead of a plain software trial, I offer a small scoped implementation. Once real data is in the system (even just print formats), switching becomes hard, and it turns into a real win-win since I’m genuinely helping them succeed.
-
Looking for a sales counterpart — I’m solid on tech and ERP fundamentals but could use someone strong on the sales side.
-
Service providers uniting, not competing — I’d love to meet others building in this space. I think we grow faster by collaborating and covering ground together than by treating each other as competition.
If any of this resonates — even one point — send me a DM or reply here. Would genuinely love to connect before the chaos of the conference begins.
See you there!
