Link Formatter process

Hello everyone, I want to use the list formatter feature in a custom doctype but I don’t know the process for implementation , should I add it to build.json or leave it as it is on my Js file , anyone with an example will be alot of help , thanks

Is frappe.form.link_formatters supposed to work
