Nonprofit app status

Hi!

I was planning on using the nonprofit module after seeing it in the docs and on Frappe’s Github, but realized after signing up for Cloud that it was archived. I couldn’t find any information on this, but does anyone know what happened or if it’s going to be supported in any other format?

Thank you!

I am wondering about this too!

Me too

Try this guys app A New Church App

Is there any official statement on the Non Profit App Status? Will it be available for v16?

GitHub is archived, but it’s still referenced on the Website and available on the Marketplace.

Most probably not

We are using the app without any issues but also lacks any updates. Anyone volunteering to take responsibility and maintain the system so far?

So problem is even if we volunteer out time/effort, “mostly” frappe team are busy with enterprise customers/gold partners so do not have time to see our work and do quality review
Best thing is to fork it out and take full responsibility for it (like marley earthiens did with health module)
I am ready to give some time but am not very experienced in coding … we need at least a team of 5 - anyone else?

Is that really the best way? To fork it out? We are looking into a NPO solution and would be willing to invest some effort into it.

Sorry, relatively new to ERPNext, but would it be easier to just make changes to the existing ERPNext modules or a custom module instead of an app?

We’re a software development-based nonprofit, though student run, but we have consistent volunteers and would be willing to maintain the app if that’s the only way forward. We’re relatively inexperienced with ERPNext development & nonprofit specifics (aside from what I’ve had to learn for our own) and would appreciate people more knowledgeable to provide guidance.

We are also new to Frappe, but we have quite extensive NPO-Know-how. We plan to build an NPO-Solution on ERP in the the coming months

We will look into the NPO App and see if it makes sense to fork it or start from scratch. For sure we will be doing it on v16. Anyone that is interested in Participating: shoot me a message.

hi, how is your solution build going? I have a customer who is very interested in the NPO solution, we looked at old youtube videos, he is ready for me, but I now see that NPO is no longer supported! It seems that I have to goback to him with the bad news, and lose some trust:(

We formed a group that wants to revive the Module. We meet weekly on Thursday 15:30 wita. If you want, you can join. Send me your email. Cheers

fantastic:) thank you. I will send you my details. I might not make it tomorrow but will join next week. in the meantime, what type of exec dashboards are you using? this is the first of many questions

You mean Dashboards inside Frappe? I’m not sure I understand your question. We are still talking about Doctype-Structure.

hi, yes, I refer to the dashboards in ERPnext. e.g. the ‘/Dashboards/Payments’ page has a number of cards and graphs covering: ‘total outgoing bills’, a bar chart of incoming bills per month, another chart for outgoing payments, etc. Alternatively, something like these KPI’s 8 Non-Profit KPIs to Boost Mission Impact.

Yeah, we have to define the Data-Structure first, before we are going to think about Dashboards

I joined the meeting this morning. it was really fantastic to meet a group of professionals passionate about ERPNext, NPO’s and the opensource movement. after 25 years of closed SAP, I’m thrilled to be on an opensource mission:) thank you.
