If you want to display external data in Customer document, you can do it from javascript itself, if you don't intend to store it. Create a custom field of type HTML Use Setup > Custom Script frappe.ui.form.on("Customer", "refresh", function(frm) { // your code to generate html table } It will request for new data every time the form is refreshed. -Anand.
