I’ve built a Frappe app to help manufacturers/suppliers document compliance with the EU Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR, Regulation (EU) 2025/40).
What it does:
Tracks packaging types with material composition (mono-material vs. composite, adhesives, coatings)
Substance testing against both individual and cumulative thresholds (e.g. heavy metals summed across Pb/Cd/Hg/Cr-VI, PFAS checked per-substance and as a total)
Empty space ratio check for shipping packaging (40% limit applicable from 12 August 2026)
Recyclability performance grade (A/B/C)
AI-assisted extraction from uploaded datasheets/PDFs — values land as unverified suggestions and only count toward compliance status after manual review
Auto-generated output depending on role: EU Declaration of Conformity (Annex VIII) as producer, or a packaging datasheet as supplier
Stack: Frappe/ERPNext, works standalone or alongside existing ERPNext data (Items, etc.)
