Pricing Rule -
Min Qty - 42
Max Qty - 42
Free Qty - 6 (Same Item)
When I sell 42 items, customers will receive 6 free items. Customers must buy exactly 42 items; they will not qualify for any free items if they purchase more or fewer than 42. For example, if a customer buys 45 items, they will not receive any free items.
Problem 1 - I’m experiencing an issue with the quantity settings. When I set a maximum quantity of 42 items, selecting 42 items adds 6 free items. This means that for 84 items (42 + 42), I don’t receive any free items. However, I want to get 12 free items for 84 items.
Problem 2 - On the other hand, if I don’t set a maximum quantity and I sell 43 items, 6 free items get added, which I don’t want.
What should I do now? I hope you will help me with this.
Describing the solution I’d like
Solution 1 - I want a feature that lets me set the minimum item quantity to 42, with 6 free items. But when the quantity doubles to 84 items, the bonus quantity should automatically double to 12 items. But for 85 items, the multiplication rule stops working, so there will be no free item.
The free item applies only to double-quantity items; otherwise, it won’t. Example
For 42 Item = 6 Free Items ![]()
For 43 Item = No Free Items![]()
For 84 Items = 12 Free Items![]()
For 85 Items = No Free Items![]()
For 126 Items = 18 Free Items![]()
For 125 Items = No Free Items![]()
Solution 2 - Currently, “Ignore Pricing Rule” applies to all items in a transaction. Please allow this setting per item, so each can independently follow or ignore pricing rules, avoiding the need to create separate transactions to bypass pricing.
Describe alternatives I’ve considered
Right now, I have to make pricing rules individually for -
For 42 Item = 6 Free Items
For 84 Items = 12 Free Items
For 126 Items = 18 Free Items
The problem is that if the customer wants to buy 420 items to get 60 Free items, I have to create a pricing rule 10 times, which is time-consuming.
Impact
Blocks critical workflow
Significant friction — workaround exists, but is painful and not a solution
Additional context
- Pricing Rule Problem 1 - Minimum qty + Maximum qty set with free item
Sales Order - Without exact Minimum qty + Maximum qty, not getting the free item
- Pricing Rule Problem 2 - Minimum qty set with free item. Used (Recursive + Round Free Qty) to get double, but for 45 items getting a free item, which I don’t want.
Sales Order - For 85 items, getting 12.143 free items, which I don’t want.
- Pricing Rule Problem 3 - Minimum qty set with free item. Without (Recursive + Round Free Qty), but for 84 items, not getting a double-free item.
Sales Order - For 84 items, not getting the Double-Free item.
