I am enabling the ‘Is this Tax included in Basic Rate?’ option in the sales taxes and charges template in ERPNext 16 but it is not becoming the default option when this tax template is used in a sales invoice. The tax itself is being selected but the option for it to be included in basic rate is not toggled despite it being on in the Sales Taxes and Charges Template. Kindly assist
I think this checkbox is only being copied when the tax row is inserted, it does not always re-toggle on an invoice that already has taxes loaded.
A couple of things I would test:
- Remove the tax row from the Sales Invoice, then re-apply the template or use Get Taxes and Charges again.
- Make sure you changed the actual row inside the Sales Taxes and Charges Template, not just a copied invoice row.
- If this is v16 only, check whether the row type/account head combination is being recreated differently on the invoice, because that can carry the tax but miss the included-in-basic-rate flag.
If a fresh invoice with a freshly selected template still leaves it unchecked, this feels more like a v16 bug than a setup issue.
I have configured taxes on an item level and when I generate a new invoice, the tax is being inserted but the option of taxes being included in the basic rate is not toggled despite being toggled in the sales and charges template. Might this be a bug error?
