Similar Customer Name Error

I have 2 customers with the same exact name but I can’t add both of them in ERPNext v14 as it consider the name is the customer ID and can’t be duplicated!
I tried to modify the Doctype to make it as a series naming C-.##### but an error appears:
DocTypes can not be modified, please use Customize Form instead

I need a way to customize the customer ID as it can’t be the customer name, specially when dealing with individual customers!

Thank you.
Now it takes the naming series as the customer ID, but it’s not allowing for any customization, the following message appeared when I tried to modify the naming series prefix:
