Status of compatibility with Postgres

Among many discussions on GitHub Issues recently (late 2025), it was clear that maintainers are not interested in supporting Postgres in the near future.

However, shortly after, I started seeing several PRs targeting various fixes around Postgres.

And I came across this doc on wiki: Postgres Database Setup

Not sure if the wiki doc is recent, and if the decision towards PostgreSQL has formally/informally changed?

What do we expect/know for v16 and for v15?

Hey @ahassoun , PostgreSQL support is experimental as of now (not really planned for v15 and v16). However, we are actively working on fixing any PostgreSQL (Multi-DB) issues that users might face. Please feel free to raise an issue here and it will be looked into: Frappe Issues
