Why Empty Fields are removed after document is submitted

Hi there i have a question.
why the empty fields are removed after being saved.
what if currently i dont have the later and i want to add it later

Hi,

Once Document is submitted, you can’t modified it without cancelling and amending the same.

If you need to update the field after submit also, you need to change the setting for that field in doctype.
