I am the CEO, I worked a Long while for German Telecom, followed by Siemens, Infineon, BenQ , MAN, but life wanted me to start a Company. It is called charterware and it designs and delivers a GPS / Mobile Network / RFID tracking unit , certified by the EASA for planes to use. It also acts as a Service Provider for branch specific Software. look @ our Website. There is somewhere also a tst Login. It was all own coded not using a Framework.

We are currently for own purposes using an open source ERP based on SQL Ledger.

However in the future there will be both, a redesign of our Software + a Change to something better for uour own usage. Ideally we will be a Service Provider and use it ourselves to.

Eventually ERPNext will be the core of both. It is however essential to us, that we can build our functions around, so that there is a fence/ API between what is open source and what remains propriatory. We are also willing to provide stuff for open source, eventually german user Manuals etc. Open Source is ok and we might contribute, However there must be a border to protect our Business.
