Hi, currently Report Manager role is assigned to users who need to export reports to CSV. But this also gives access for a user to manipulate and save reports, which is not something we always want to give.
Is it possible to provide export access *only*?

With the new permission system, you will be able to assign export permission just like read, write, submit permission for individual roles. Report Manager role will be removed. It is progressing well and will be released along with version 4.0.0

Additional question regarding the new permissions model: will it allow us to fine-tune who has access to "STOP" status? Currently, anyone with submit status can only stop a document (applies to Sales Order, Purchase Order)

We haven't covered the Stop status scenario. It is more about restricting records. Can you tell us more about your situation with an example?
Thanks,
Anand.

User B = has access to read the order in order to create a delivery note or sales invoice
User C = has access to read the order because she is the salesperson handling the customer
User D = has access to create reports of sales orders for management review
Currently User B, C and D have access to also STOP the order, simply because they have read access. In this set up, we would only want user C to have the access to STOP the order.
