Add mode of payment to Sales register report

how can I add a column “mode of payment” to the sales register new style report?

Currently there is no option for customization of script report. In future we will provide basic customization option, it is in our to-do-list.

As you are in your own server, you can do the customization. For that you should make a new Report, by coping the existing report. It will create associated file under Accounts -> Reports. Then create js and py file in the associated directory with the necessary changes. For existing code please check https://github.com/webnotes/erpnext/tree/master/accounts/report/sales_register
