Adding a new currency and use as default

Hello Guys
During the installation process I cam through a series of choices of options including currency.
I was wondering how can i add a new currency which will be used entirely as the default currency, the same how the one chosen during setup process works

Specify currency under Setup > Global Defaults

How can new currency be added to Currency Master to have it show up as an option during setup? Thank you.
