Adding Tags in ERPNext

Hi There,
At the bottom of the edit item page there is an option to add tags. Just above the “assigned to” and “add attachments” fields. The add tags field is greyed out and isn’t active. Is there a way to make it active and add personalised searchable tags?

If you click on Add Tag label, the area will be editable.
