Amended Sales Order Cannot Generate Pick List

Hi All,

This feels like a BUG if not please let me know

Here are the steps:

A Sales Order is Created and Pick List is Created for it.

Sales Order is Canceled which cancels the Pick List for it.

Sales Order is Amended.

Cannot create a Pick List for Amended Sales Order. In Sales Order Item picked_qty=2

Delete the canceled Pick List for the original Sales Order still same issue.

** To TEST I forced the picked_qty=0 in original & amended Sales Order Items. Same Issue.

if SO is cancelled and PL is canceled why picked_qty >0

After I force the picked_qty=0 (using a script) Why I still get the same issue. Where else the system keeps track of picked_qty? I looked at Stock Reservation Entry and it is empty.

This scenario also fails:

Sales Order → Pick List → Delivery Note → Sales Invoice
Then, create Delivery Return and then Sales Return

Now Sales Order is open because items got returned. But you can no longer generate pick list to deliver again.

@rtdany10 once a DN is made against an SO the SO completes. Generally speaking, if items are returned and replacements are to be sent, a new SO is created. This is because an invoice is generated and when the items are returned and a debit note is received against that SO.

@mihir-kandoi customer will not issue a new purchase order, and hence new sales order is not technically possible. Order has to be fulfilled against the same sales order
