Asset Repair - Other Non-Binary Options?

Hello,

For the repair of fixed Assets the options seem quite limited, either “Completed” or “Cancelled”. Can other options such as “In Progress” or " Awaiting Parts" be added? for when the Asset is out of service and not useable, i.e. the repair requires parts that are not yet in stock or requires an external engineer to perform the work?

Or another condition such as “Awaiting Calibration” before it can be used?

Does this require fundamental changes to the Assets DocTypes/ERPNext doc states, therefore need to be a custom app?

You can use property setter document to override options in standard fields.

Thanks, are the dire warnings about messing up your system (because it’s a core DocType) applicable?

Hello @pmjd! I’m not sure if I got your question correctly because asset repair status options does include a “pending” status, along with “completed” and “cancelled”.
