One feature in ERPNext v16 that I found quite useful is the Serial and Batch Traceability Report available under Stock Reports.
This report provides clear visibility into how a batch or serial number moves through different transactions in the system.
You can use filters to switch between two helpful views:
Backward Traceability
This helps identify which components were used to manufacture a particular batch and where those components originated from.
Forward Traceability
This helps track where that batch has been used or delivered, including the related transactions or customers.
You can also view both traceability perspectives together for a more complete picture.
These reports go beyond simple reporting. They make it easier to understand the origin and movement of materials across the entire transaction flow.
