Barcode Scanner? QR Codes only?

I tried using the ERPNext barcode scanner, but I can only get it to recognize QR codes, not traditional barcodes.

Is this the expected behavior?

Are you using a camera or a laser barcode scanner? The build in component uses the camera interface.

Iā€™m using the camera on my tablet. I also tried it with my phone.

Strange! As in my case, it is recognising using the camera on a tablet
