i would like to do the same option in sales order for barcode scanning i want to scan barcode and add the record to a child table, how this can be done in new doctype , i want to use it for annual asset audit , i have every asset with barcode and doctype have all the asset, i want to make a new doctype named “annual audit” when i add new doc i have a field with barcode scanning option and a child table so when i scan the item it automatically fetch the information of the item and add it to the table and when i scan the same item it update the quantity in the table , i really need you help for this

Possible but you have to explore the Scanner API and develop it according to the scenario.
