Bench upgraded to v8 but unable to start

Getting this when I open localhost:8080

also when I do bench update again, I see this message at the end :

bench --site reload-doc stock doctype customs_tariff_number

No such command “stock”

The login page is blank, i.e. I cannot see any field.
