Best practice for throwing something out?

Occassionally, we run across a situation where we need to throw out a few things that are in inventory.

What is the best practice to do so?

  1. Do a Stock Entry Material Issue of N quantity. When I do this, it shows as Out in the ledger. Is this enough?
  2. Make a “Garbage” warehouse and do a material transfer into thatt warehouse? This seems like it would mess with reorder levels unless I track by warehouse?

@ryarrow Either one is fine. Material Issue seems easiest to use.
