BOM: Active checkbox

I have 500+ items with only 200 "active". I'd like to report out only those item that are "active".  How? Maybe more important, is there a way to change the Is Active status based only on a "reports to BOM" condition?

You can update "is active" status throgh Setup -> Data Import Tool. Otherwise you can also modify then via Report view of BOM.

I figured out the Data Import method but that still means I have to "touch" every item that reports to a BOM.  But the Report View method may make it a lot easier... I'll take a look.  Thanks..!
