BOM Approach where item is completely dynamic

I am manufacturing Neon Sign Board. I manufactured different sizes as per customer requirement. size changes in inches.

Required approx. material is Sheet 8x4 feet (variable use), Neon lights wire (variable use), Glue (variable use), Copper Wire (variable use), Soldering wire (variable use), Soldering paste (variable uses), Adaptor (1 PC per board), Male Female Connector (1Pc per board), transparent Wire (variable length), bubble wrapper (packaging), Corrugated box.(1 pc custom size as per board)

I have mentioned the required material, variable use means we can manufactured a single sign board to multiple signboard from the single pc or single box.

  1. Designing
  2. Machine Cutting and Engraving
  3. Neon Board Assembly,
  4. Quality Test
  5. Packaging and Dispatch

Goal:

  1. Stock Calculation
  2. BOM Process for variable/Dynamic raw material consumption

Incase your Sign Board FG item is unique each item requires recording phase either one of the following;

1. Use a dynamic BOM for each order

  1. Copy the existing BOM
  2. Adjust raw materials according to the current requirement
  3. Use that BOM in the Work Order.

2. Use a single BOM but adjust raw materials directly while creating the Work Order

  1. Create Work Order
  2. Before submitting, open the Materials tab
  3. Add or remove items according to actual requirement
  4. Submit WO
  5. Manufacture as normal

3. Add Additional Materials in the Stock Entry (Manufacture)

  1. Record stock entry of Manufacture typee
  2. Add extra raw materials manually
  3. Submit

Manufacturing settings needs to be set up for extra raw materials to be consumed.
