BOM Creation - Maintaining Stock

I’m trying to implement ERPNext in my furniture manufacturing company. I’m still in learning phase. I’m facing an issue while creating BOM.

I have made the entry of final product and its individual components in ‘Items’.
Now, I want to create a BOM for the final product, but its not showing my final product in Item field because - “Filter Applied Maintain Stock = Yes”.

Can’t I make BOM unless I keep items in stock? We only make Made to Order furniture.

make to order does not mean you do not create/maintain the finish goods physical inventory, in other word, for MTO, the physical inventory is kept not so long. so you got to tick maintain stock for your FG item.
