Bom operations vs Item Operations

Hi,
When Creating BOM, there is with operations option and then we enter the operations for the BOM.
On the Product Item tab where we input all the Raw Materials there is also Item Operations .
What is the connection between them?
Currently I Do like this:
BOM operations is the summary of all operations on the BOM.
The Item Operation on the Raw Material is to define which material belong to which BOM operations. Am I correct?
I can not refer to the erpnext documentation cause its not the same with the actual version I used.
I am using latest stable version-15. just updated recently:

erpnext 15.28.2
frappe 15.38.0
hrms 15.26.0
payments 0.0.1

One more thing .
In the documentation of BOM Creator, there is option for ‘Track Semi-FInished’

I can not find this on my version. Which version is this,?
Is that mean my version will always track semi finish good or the other way arround?

It’s in the development branch. It’s not yet available in version 15.

How about my first question, connection between bom operation and item operations.
was my assumption correct?
I am trying to implement the manufacturing feature for a client.
Do you think it will break in version 16 ? Should I wait for version 16?

Oh ok,
I think I need the exact version of erpnext documentation for implementation refferences.
Do you know how to access it?
for example erpnext version 15.28.2 documentation.
