Booking.com, Airbnb ... etc. integration for Hotel marketing channel management

Hi Everyone,

do you know about a hotel marketing channel management implementation for ERPNext, e.g. Booking.com, Airbnb, Agora … etc.?

If there is no such integration yet, are you already using or planning to use ERPNext for managing your hotel / hostel / airbnb apartments, and would be interested sponsoring the development of such an app?

We are a software engineering company, so if there is no such integration yet, we can (and probably will) build it. This post is my attempt to see if there is interest in the ERPNext community for this functionality.

Hi,

The usual process I have seen in this neighnourhood is either

A client/customer requires a customisation/feature and they pay their supoort company to build it

Or

Somebody identifies a need in ERPNext that they feel they are uniquely able to fix and they go ahead and fix it.

Your approach is a bit different, you have identified a possible need and you are looking for someone to sponsor it.

I think Frappe had a fund for something like this last year or so, not sure if they still run the program.

Maybe ask them ?

Hi,

building a proper hotel/hospitality marketing channel manager implementation for ERPNext is a substantial investment. There are actually specialized SaaS solutions for this.

Because of this, it is unlikely that a single client (e.g. a relatively large hotel) would finance it - or if they did, they would contribute it back to the community. Such an app/module would be very specific to their business, and not a generic component.

This is why I am trying to see if there are multiple parties, who would be interested in sharing the costs/investment of such an implementation. There were similar Frappe projects in the past that were set up like this.

That said, the Frappe Incubator (Frappe Incubator Program) is definitely a good idea, thank you!
