Bug? - item group issue

Hi ,

Am not certain of this is a bug. When I uncheck item group in setup → features → materials .

And then if I try adding a new item , the item group field is hidden but when I try and save it , it asks me to select an item group.

You can fix it by adding a default item group - it should not allow you to hide the feature if there is no default though.... you can post it in GitHub

OK I will add it to github. I did try the default group and even tried customizing the form to remove the field as mandatory.
