Can we move a doctype from one app to another app with data

I have created a doctype, now i want to move the doctype to another app, if i just changed the module of the doctype will it work?

Doctype transfer but also you have to paste that doctype code into the new app. also remove the doctype from the old app, if worked properly in the new app.
