Cannot select address on customer

Dear colleagues,

I have the following issue: on a customer, I have multiple addresses. One of them is primary and shipping:

Now I want to link this as primary address, but it will not show up:

It seems to work for contact but not address. The filter seems ok. Is there another field to be set? I am using ERPNext v12.1.6… Any hints appreciated!
