Can't submit Delivery Note with same item used twice

Hi


I can create and submit a Sales Order with same item but with different valuations listed twice. But while making delivery I can’t do so. Why??

I can't replicate that, the system is giving duplicate item message but allowing me to save and submit delivery note. What is the message you are getting on saving delivery note?

The error is coming because "Reserved Warehouse" is not mentioned in associated Sales Order. May be the item has been changed to "Stock Item" from "Non-stock Item" after making SO. I have added a validation which will check reserved warehouse in SO on submission of delivery note.

You are right. I changed the item from a non-stock item to stock item. 

Now on submitting delivery note it says reserved warehouse not mentioned in SO.

But now there is another problem. I am unable to cancel SO.

Change item to non-stock and cancel the sales order, then again change it to stock item.

Now on submitting delivery note it says reserved warehouse not mentioned in SO.

But now there is another problem. I am unable to cancel SO.

It says warehouse does not exist. But I am using this warehouse elsewhere and it is working.

Hi,

Sorry for the late reply. I was out for two days.
I would like to change the item from stock item to non-stock item. But it is greyed out. When I try to delete the item it won't let me.
How can I edit the item to be a non-stock item from a stock item.

You should cancel all transactions for that item which affects stock balance and creates "Stock Ledger Entry". Then "Is Stock Item" field will be editable. After changing it to non-stock item and amending SO, you should revert it to "Stock" item and amend all the transactions you have cancelled earlier.
