I am coming from a QuickBooks background where there is direct Sales Receipt (avoiding accounts receivables) and Write Checks (avoiding accounts payables) for quick cash receipts and payments. However I dont see this in ERPNext.
I know we can use Journal Entries but that requires 1) accounting knowledge which sometimes a simple cashier lacks and 2) I would like the suppliers/employees and items/expenses on each line so i can make quick payments/receipts
I also know that this can be customized but was hoping this is a future feature if truly ERPNext is for “small” & medium sized businesses
I really hope you guys will consider this request as your product is really amazing and this would make it even better

For Payment, you can tick is_paid on Purchase Invoice as follows:
Similary, You can tick Include Include Payment (POS) for Sales Invoice:
