Change autoname on core DocType

Hello,
There is a way to change the autoname of a standar DoctType, ex. Sales Order by another autoname.
I need to change the naming_series for field based autoname.

not sure it is allowed for default doctypes

Have you tried naming_series? What kind of autoname do you want?

Hi, I’ve tried with naming series, but i need that the named be based on a custom field.
If I set the naming_series for example: SO-.my_custom_field the name will be SO-foo00001, the naming_series append an extra auto-incremented number that I don’t want.

I need to be field:my_custom_field
