Change default for create variant checkbox in item quick entry

The “Create Variant” checkbox in the Item QuickEntry page has false as default value.

I would like to change this behaviour and make it checked by default. I couldn’t find the checkbox in Customize Form. Where should I make this change?

you would have to override this function to set default: 1
